The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) has named the Kansas Beef Council (KBC) the official protein sponsor of Kansas High School Athletics, continuing a partnership that highlights student-athletes and beef as a protein that supports performance and recovery. KBC will serve as the official protein sponsor at KSHSAA state championship events and lead sponsor of the state cross country and state wrestling championships. The partnership is expected to reach nearly 1 million fans annually. A key component of the checkoff-funded initiative is the Sports Nutrition Game Plan, a free online resource developed by a registered dietitian. It provides science-based nutrition guidance, including videos, recipes, meal plans and hydration tips, all of which emphasize beef as a high-quality protein for performance and recovery. More than 140 Kansas coaches and trainers already are enrolled. The partnership will promote the program through digital, social and event-based efforts. To learn more, visit www.kansasbeef.org.
