High Plains Journal has partnered with Justin Kennedy from the Oklahoma Auction School to host a Youth Auctioneering Camp and Contest during the Crops and Cattle Conference & Ag Expo August 5 at the Kansas City Convention Center. FFA members and students ages 12 to 19 who are interested in agriculture are encouraged to attend.
The free camp will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will introduce students to foundational auctioneering skills. Later that evening, students will participate in a live auction during the Crops & Cattle Party. To register, click here. The deadline to register for the camp is July 27. The Livestock Marketing Association and National Auctioneers Association are sponsoring the event.
Participants and up to two guests can attend the Crops and Cattle Conference & Ag Expo for free. The conference and expo run from August 4-6 at the Kansas City Convention Center.
