Two students attending Kansas State University have been awarded GoBob America’s Ranch Equipment $1,000 Scholarships through the Kansas Livestock Foundation (KLF). Michaela Wasson of Dresden will be a sophomore and is the daughter of Michael and Kelly Wasson. Derek Wurtz from Seneca also will be a sophomore and is the son of Jerin and Stephanie Wurtz. Funding for this scholarship was generated through proceeds from the auction of a GoBob hay feeder at the 2025 KLA Convention & Expo. GoBob is a distributor of farm and ranch supplies, such as steel pipe and gates, corral and fencing materials, and heavy-duty equipment.
Hampel Oil/Mobil Delvac $1,000 Scholarships were awarded to two students through KLF. Braxon Blackwood of Sublette will be a junior at K-State. He is the son of Shane and Keely Blackwood. Jaiden Pfannenstiel of Hays will be a senior at Fort Hays State University and is the daughter of Wade and Sharon Pfannenstiel. These scholarships were made possible by a donation to KLF by Hampel Oil, a family-operated business with six locations in Kansas.
Jenna Gengler of Beloit was awarded a $1,500 Grass & Grain scholarship through KLF. She will be a junior at K-State and is the daughter of Craig and Jolene Gengler. Funding for this scholarship resulted from the auction of an advertising package at the 2025 KLA Convention & Expo. Grass & Grain has been in publication since 1954 and has readers in Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Missouri.
