K-State To Host NWS Webinar Series Starting Tomorrow

The Kansas State University Department of Agricultural Economics and K-State Extension are hosting a three-part webinar series via Zoom focused on New World screwworm (NWS). The first webinar will be held tomorrow, June 16, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

K-State entomologist Cassandra Olds will provide an overview of NWS, both past and present, and discuss its impact on cattle. Assistant Kansas Animal Health Commissioner Sara McReynolds also will be on hand to provide an update on the current NWS situation in the U.S. and Kansas’ response plan.

The remaining two webinars will be held June 23 and June 30 from noon to 1:30 p.m., with specific topics for each to be announced at a later time. There is no fee to participate in the series, but registration is required by clicking here. Participants only have to register once to join all three webinars.
