New volunteer leaders recently took the reins of the KLA Cattle Feeders Council (CFC), Stockgrowers Council and Dairy Council.
Leading the KLA CFC Executive Committee are chairman Tod Kalous with Pratt Feeders and vice chairman Perry Nowak with Fairleigh Feed Yard Inc. of Scott City. Rounding out the committee are Jeremy Simon with Sublette Feeders, Rodney Derstein with Friona Industries of Amarillo, TX, Chad McCormick with Grant County Feeders near Ulysses and Bronson Smith with Innovative Livestock Services in Great Bend. Daniel Berg with Irsik & Doll of Cimarron also is serving on the CFC Executive Committee as past chairman.
Rossie Stephens from Grinnell will chair the KLA Stockgrowers Council for the coming year, with Brady Larson from Leoti holding the position of vice chair. Others on the 11-member committee include Dustin Wootten of McLouth, Kraig Froetschner from Garfield, Brian Morray of Gridley, Brandon Greenwood from Hamilton, Dan Imthurn of Maple Hill, Spencer Jones from Wamego, Dean Klahr of Meade and Katelyn Steffens from Dighton. Clint Sturdy from Lyndon is the immediate past Stockgrowers Council chairman and will remain on the executive committee this year, as well.
The KLA Dairy Council chair is Clayton Winger with Eastside Dairy II LLC in Johnson. Vice chair of the council is Jeff Hemann with Tuls Dairy near Liberal.
