Merck Animal Health provides several scholarships through the Kansas Livestock Foundation each year that are funded by members turning in used Ralgro and Revalor cartridges to Merck representatives or KLA. For each cartridge, the company donates 25¢.
This program provided a total of $9,500 in scholarships for the 2025-2026 school year, with one being designated for an eligible applicant from the county that turned in the most cartridges. In 2024, Finney County KLA members earned that honor and Kami Whipple of Kalvesta received the $1,000 Cartridges for Cash scholarship.
Collections still are underway for 2026-2027 scholarships. Members can bring cartridges to the Merck Animal Health booth at the KLA Convention & Expo November 19-21 in Manhattan. Cartridges also can be turned in at your local KLA county meeting or a fall roundtable prior to convention. Be sure to specify your home county when turning them in.
