This year’s KLA Convention & Expo again will open Wednesday evening with the Cattlemen’s Banquet, sponsored by INTRUST Bank, Micro Technologies and Tyson Fresh Meats. The program will include recognition of longtime KLA members and scholarship recipients, as well as a live auction benefiting the KLA Political Action Council, Kansas Livestock Foundation and Ranchland Trust of Kansas.
Attendees also will hear from Nevil Speer, an industry consultant from Bowling Green, KY, who will serve as the keynote speaker. Speer will discuss how significant improvements in beef quality over the past 25 years have helped drive today’s strong consumer demand for beef. With experience in academia and private industry, he has worked with numerous start-up companies and provided consulting across a wide range of agricultural topics. Speer contributes regularly to Feedstuffs and BEEF Magazine.
Members can register online for the convention, which will be held November 19-21 in Manhattan, by going here. Registration also can be completed by using the printable form on the website or by calling (785) 273-5115.
