The Kansas Beef Council (KBC) will continue its checkoff-funded partnership with Kansas State Athletics through the Tailgater of the Game contest this football season. The popular initiative recognizes outstanding K-State fans who put beef at the heart of their game day celebrations. Whether it’s brisket, steak kabobs or a classic burger, KBC will be spotlighting the tailgaters who make beef the main event.
Throughout the 2025 football season, one tailgate at each home game will be selected as the Tailgater of the Game, earning a Pit Boss Tabletop Griddle and KBC swag. At the end of the season, KBC will randomly select one of the weekly winners to be named Tailgater of the Season, earning a Pit Boss Smoker and box seats to the final home game.
By promoting beef in high-traffic, energetic environments like K-State game days, KBC can connect with the next generation of consumers and remind them of how beef fits into active lifestyles and creates memorable moments. Additionally, by engaging with thousands of fans each week, this partnership helps keep beef top-of-mind in a space where memories, meals and traditions are built together.
