The Kansas Stockman and KLA both received recognition last week during the Livestock Publications Council (LPC) awards program held at the 2025 Ag Media Summit in Rogers, AR.
Receiving first place in the production/management category was an article written by KLA Manager of Communications and Advertising Rachel Waggie. The article, “Keeping a fully charged bull battery,” appeared in the January 2024 issue. Stockman freelance writer Macey Mueller authored the article, “Water conservation conversations,” that appeared in the November/December 2024 issue and placed second in the news story category of the contest.
KLA received an honorable mention in the event/show program category for the 2024 KLA Convention & Expo guide. The convention logo also received an honorable mention in the logo design category. There were more than 350 entries in the LPC contest this year.
LPC is a professional improvement organization for those in the livestock publications industry.
