The 2024 Top Hand Contest came to a close during the KLA Convention, with the Anderson County KLA Committee signing up 15 new members to win Recruiter of the Year honors. They will receive their choice of a $300 gift card to any western wear store or a $300 gift card toward a custom silver or leatherwork item. Second place was awarded to the Riley County KLA Committee with nine members recruited. Others being recognized for their recruitment efforts this year were Klay O’Brien of Hepler with five recruits, and Payden Barrett from Grantville and Ryan Koons of Buffalo, OK, with three recruits each. John Deere is the exclusive sponsor of the KLA Top Hand program.

All 2024 recruiters were entered into a drawing to win a YETI cooler and a $200 Kansas City Steak Company gift card. The winner was the Anderson County Committee. Additionally, any new members signed up by a recruiter were entered into a drawing to win a Blackstone grill. The winner of the grill was Don Shell of Valley Falls, recruited by Payden Barrett.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this year’s membership efforts!
