The Kansas Water Office, Kansas Department of Agriculture and Kansas Department of Health and Environment are hosting a second round of workshops across the state to discuss implementation of the Kansas Water Plan. The agencies are asking for input on setting key objectives and identifying the actions and resources needed to meet them. They also want feedback on what criteria are most important as they evaluate investment strategies to achieve the plan’s long-term goals around aquifers, reservoirs and water quality.
Dates and locations for the workshops are September 17, Colby; September 18, Dodge City; September 19, Topeka; September 23, Newton; September 24, Salina; September 25, Pittsburg; September 26, Leavenworth; and September 30, Wichita.
