BQA Program Increases Consumer Confidence

September 11, 2024

Market research conducted by NCBA reveals the Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program has a positive impact on consumers. So much so, in fact, that positive perceptions improved by 26 points after hearing basic information about the program.

More than 70% of shoppers say they consider how food is raised when making purchasing decisions. However, only 26% say they know a lot about how cattle are raised. Learning about BQA made shoppers more confident in beef safety and animal welfare.

Not only does BQA help inform consumers, but it also impacts how they feel about beef overall, which in turn makes it easier for them to choose beef. Therefore, becoming BQA certified is not just the right thing to do for cattle, but also fiscally beneficial. To become certified, go to www.bqa.org.
