Kansas State University Extension Beef Specialist Dale Blasi will provide a historical review and discuss plans for the future of the Beef Stocker Unit during his presentation to kick off the 25th Annual K-State Beef Stocker Field Day. The event will take place September 26 in Manhattan.
Additional topics on the agenda include a beef cattle outlook, a presentation on how coccidiosis impacts stocker operations, future trends in the cattle feeding industry, calf management, prescribed burning, and a panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges that come along with crossing beef and dairy cattle.
