Food Influencers Learn More About Beef

January 9, 2020

Eleven food influencers gathered at the NCBA Culinary Center last month for the “Roast & Toast with Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner.” event to learn how to prepare the perfect roast. Chef Carrie Baird, a Bravo TV “Top Chef” finalist and winner of “Beat Bobby Flay,” was the guest of honor.

During the event, influencers not only were treated to a hands-on beef roast cooking demonstration by Chef Baird, but also learned about beef and wine pairings and enjoyed beef appetizers. In addition, four ranchers were on hand to interact with the influencers and address common misconceptions about how cattle are raised.

“Food influencers are excited to share the high-quality beef they know and love with their large consumer following, but often have questions about where their food comes from. Events like this one help close the knowledge gap and put faces to the farmers and ranchers raising real beef,” said NCBA Federation Division Vice Chairman Buck Wehrbein, a cattle feeder from Nebraska.
