Live, Silent Auctions At KLA Convention Benefit Several Initiatives

The December 4 live benefit auction at the KLA Convention in Wichita will sell livestock equipment, western art, bull sale credits and a stem cell therapy procedure. Proceeds from these items will help fund programs and initiatives for the KLA Political Action Council (PAC), Ranchland Trust of Kansas (RTK) and the Kansas Livestock Foundation (KLF).

Kansas Regenerative Medicine Center of Manhattan is donating the stem cell procedure, with funds raised benefitting KLA PAC. A box of natural upper choice/prime strip loins from Tyson cattle buyers in Kansas will be sold to support KLA PAC as well. Moser Ranch also will be donating a piece of metal artwork to support KLA PAC. New this year to benefit KLA PAC, will be a raffle for a pair of Rios of Mercedes handmade custom KLA 125 Year commemorative boots donated by J&N Ranch and Nigro’s Western Store. 

Seedstock producers donating bull sale credits to benefit KLA PAC 500 are Gardiner Angus, Fink Beef Genetics, Bar S Ranch, Benoit Angus, Dalebanks Angus, Downey Ranch, Harms Plainview Ranch, Judd Ranch, Kniebel Cattle Company, Lyons Ranch, Sandhill Farms, Hanel’s Black Simmentals, Jensen Brothers, Jones Stewart Angus Ranch, McCurry Brothers and Mushrush Red Angus. 

Four items will be featured in the RTK portion of the live auction. Dale Kirkham once again has donated a grazing land consultation. Other items to be auctioned off are an AmeriAg mineral feeder from Zeitlow Distributing, a two-night stay at a Kansas state park cabin donated by Kansas Wildlife, Parks & Tourism and a prairie chicken experience provided by Stacy Hoeme.

Two lots will be sold to help fund KLF programs. HydraBed has donated an Across Bed Toolbox, with GoBob providing a Hay Monster bale feeder. 

A silent auction will be held to support NCBA-PAC and the Kansas CattleWomen (KCW). The high bidder’s choice of a pair of Roper, Stetson or Tin Haul boots will be sold in the silent auction to benefit NCBA-PAC. KCW silent auction items will include a framed photograph of the Kansas City Stockyards, custom-made jewelry, a handmade quilt, a Colleen Sternberger photograph and a pair of Fenoglio bull hide boots. The silent auction will be open all day December 5.
