September 26, 2019

KLA joined the Kansas Departments of Agriculture and Commerce last week to host an agricultural trade delegation from Taiwan. During a ceremony at the Kansas Capitol, KLA signed a joint letter of intent with the Taiwanese delegation committing to strengthening trade relations.

Gov. Laura Kelly witnessed the signing. She said exports play an important role in Kansas agriculture.

“We’re grateful for Taiwan’s continued goodwill and commitment to purchasing Kansas meat products,” said Kelly.

Taiwan is the sixth-largest export market for U.S. beef, purchasing $550 million worth in 2018.
