KLA staff took part in an Ag Month food drive to battle hunger. Individuals donated food to support the work of Catholic Charities of northeast Kansas.

Inspired by WIBW farm broadcaster Kelly Lenz, the KLA team placed its focus on protein, specifically beef. The goal of donating 150 lbs. of beef and dairy products, canned food, dry goods and non-perishable items was exceeded. KLA staff donated 164 lbs. of food, led by 95 lbs. of beef, to the cause.

Catholic Charities serves the 21-county area of northeast Kansas. Lenz and his wife, Mary, are regular beef donors to the ministry, which provides resources and guidance that will result in long-term change for recipients.
