Wilson County KLA Chair Russ Walker of Altoona was KLA recruiter of the month for March. Walker signed up four new members at the annual KLA meeting for Wilson and Elk counties.
He will receive a $50 Cabela’s gift card and be entered in a drawing of all monthly winners to be held at the KLA Convention in December. In addition, Walker will receive prizes in the KLA Top Hand Contest, sponsored exclusively by John Deere.
As of March 31, 42 individual KLA members and county committees had signed up a total of 71 new members in this year’s Top Hand competition. Rusty Wiggs of Topeka leads the contest with seven new members. Andy Larson of Green and Maurice Erickson from Eureka each have six new members. Rounding out the top five are Walker and Wayne Carpenter of Brewster with four each.
