Nominations Open For Kansas Leopold Conservation Award

March 6, 2019

Ranchland Trust of Kansas (RTK), Sand County Foundation and the Kansas Association of Conservation Districts are accepting applications for the 2019 Leopold Conservation Award. Given in honor of renowned conservationist Aldo Leopold, the $10,000 award honors Kansas farmers, ranchers and other private landowners who are conservation leaders.

“RTK is a proud supporter of the Leopold Award in Kansas. It is an honor to recognize those who go above and beyond in the stewardship of our natural resources,” said RTK Board Chairman Cade Rensink.

Applications for the award must be postmarked by June 1. Nominations may be submitted on behalf of a landowner, or landowners may nominate themselves. The application can be found here.
