Members Encouraged To Attend This Week’s Legislative Meeting

Members will have the opportunity to provide input on bills under consideration at the state Capitol during the KLA Legislative Meeting, February 13 in Topeka. The meeting and dinner will be held at the Capitol Plaza Hotel and adjoining Maner Conference Center.           

The day will start at 11:30 a.m. with a complimentary lunch, sponsored by Capitol Federal Savings. Kansas Secretary of Agriculture Mike Beam will be the featured lunch speaker. KLA lobbyists will review proposed bills beginning at 1:00 p.m., with members choosing what proposed legislation the association should support or oppose. Members will then discuss KLA’s positions with their respective legislators during the evening social and dinner, starting at 6:00.

Lunch and the legislative meeting are free to attend for members. Registration is $40 per person for the social and dinner and will be available onsite.
