Kansans are prominent among leadership in national beef organizations. During the recent Cattle Industry Convention in New Orleans, LA, Jerry Bohn from Wichita was elected vice president of NCBA. Bohn, a past KLA president, served as chairman of the NCBA Policy Division during 2018.

Joining Bohn in the NCBA leadership ranks are Debbie Lyons-Blythe of White City, chair of the Ag and Food Policy Committee; Mary Ann Kniebel from White City, vice chair of the Cattle Health and Well-Being Committee; and Jeff Sternberger from Garden City, a member of the NCBA Executive Committee.

On the checkoff side, Jaret Moyer from Emporia is representing the Kansas Beef Council on the NCBA Executive Committee; Jon Ferguson from Kensington is a member of the Federation Finance and Audit Committee; and Randall Debler of Alma is representing the Cattlemen’s Beef Board on the Beef Promotion Operating Committee.
