KLA, the Kansas Beef Council and Kansas State University Research and Extension are hosting four Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) trainings in March and April. Dates and locations for the workshops are March 28, City Limits Convention Center in Colby; March 30, Butler County Community and 4-H Building in El Dorado; April 11, Stanley Stout Center in Manhattan; and April 13, Hilton Garden Inn in Hays.
During each training, K-State associate professor and extension beef veterinarian A.J. Tarpoff will cover topics including cattle care, planning for extreme weather, proper low-stress cattle handling techniques and other matters critical to cattle production.
