March 23 Event To Focus On Water Conservation And Reclamation

The Kansas Water Office is hosting a meeting and tour focused on water conservation and reclamation March 23 at Hy-Plains Feedyard in Montezuma. The event will include a water innovation systems tour and a panel of guest speakers who will share how they have found success by implementing water-saving practices into their operations. Kansas State University natural resources economist Bill Golden will be the featured speaker and will highlight his research on the economic impact of water conservation.   

The day will start in Dodge City with attendees meeting at the front entrance of the Hampton Inn & Suites. From there, bus transportation will be provided to Hy-Plains Feedyard. Attendees are encouraged to ride the bus as parking is limited at the tour site. When the meeting concludes, bus transportation will be provided back to Dodge City for a social at the Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center.
