Ag Growth Summit Session To Focus On Kansas Beef Industry

The current status of the state’s beef industry will be the focus of one of the virtual sessions being held as part of the 2020 Ag Growth Summit hosted by the Kansas Department of Agriculture. The webinar is scheduled for August 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be held via Zoom.  

Featured speakers will be CattleFax CEO Randy Blach and CattleFax Vice President of Industry Relations and Analysis Kevin Good. The market analysts will provide insight into the future of the beef industry and highlight key initiatives for sustaining and growing this sector in Kansas. Participants also will hear from U.S. CattleTrace Executive Director Callahan Grund. He will provide an update on the multi-state, industry-driven animal disease traceability program. Larry Corah, Kansas State University emeritus professor and supply chain consultant for Select Sires, will be on hand to give his perspective on what’s next for the beef industry.
