Kansas Livestock Showcase To Be Held In Place Of State Fair

July 22, 2020

For the first time in its 106-year history, the Kansas State Fair has been cancelled. The fair board announced their decision last week, stating it was based on circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. The fair originally was scheduled for September 11-20. All gate admission tickets, packages and food tickets already purchased will be valid for the 2021 Kansas State Fair, which is scheduled for September 10-19.

While the traditional event will not happen, staff will host both open class and youth livestock shows over three weekends starting Labor Day weekend. This includes the Grand Drive youth show, which will take place September 11-13. More information on the livestock events is available here.
