Students Receive Kansas CattleWomen Scholarships

Six students received Kansas CattleWomen (KCW) $1,000 Scholarships through the Kansas Livestock Foundation. Jenna Fitzsimmons of Cunningham will be a senior at Fort Hays State University. She is the daughter of Dean and Jerree Fitzsimmons. Madison Vaught from McLouth is the daughter of Eric and Caryn Vaught. She will be a freshman at Hutchinson Community College.  

The remaining four award winners will be attending Kansas State University in the fall. Leah David of Lenora is the daughter of Troy and DeAnn David. She will be a sophomore. Kady Figge is from Onaga and will be a freshman. She is the daughter of Keith and Beverly Figge. Teagan Sturdy is the daughter of Clint and Candi Sturdy. She is from Lyndon and will be a freshman. Baylee Wulfkuhle is from Berryton and will be a freshman. She is the daughter of Mark and Brenna Wulfkuhle.  

These scholarships are made possible through proceeds from the KCW Silent Auction held during the annual KLA Convention. To be eligible, applicants must be graduates of Kansas high schools attending in-state community and senior colleges and pursuing degrees in dietetics, food safety, agriculture or related fields.
