State Beef Councils Meet To Share Demand-Building Plans

October 16, 2019

Kansas Beef Council (KBC) staff recently attended the Partners in Action Conference in Denver. State beef councils participating in this multi-day conference collaborated on the rollout of a unified national demand-building plan for the upcoming year. The information gained will help KBC craft checkoff initiatives and strategic developments to more effectively reach the beef-eating consumer in Kansas’ most populated areas.

Discussions centered around fiscal year 2020 checkoff programming, a new Beef Quality Assurance consumer campaign, a Holiday “Drool” Log campaign highlighting the taste allure of beef and idea sharing between state beef councils. In addition, emphasis was placed on nutrition programming geared towards dispelling common myths that consumers have about beef production.

The partnership between states and the Federation of State Beef Councils is critical to building consumer acceptance and demand for beef.
