Member input is needed during the KLA Legislative Meeting and Dinner, February 13 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka. Following lunch at 11:30 a.m., a review of bills under consideration in the Kansas Legislature will take place at 1:00 p.m., followed by the social and dinner with state legislators at 6:00 p.m.
KLA’s lobbying team will offer analysis of proposed bills during the meeting. Members will have the opportunity to discuss and take positions on legislation, giving direction to KLA lobbyists, who are in the state Capitol daily representing the common business interests of the membership.
All 165 members of the Kansas Legislature have been invited to the social and dinner. Members are encouraged to sit with their representative and senator at dinner to discuss KLA positions on proposed legislation.
Sponsored by Capitol Federal, lunch and the legislative meeting are free to attend for members. Registration for the social and dinner, which is $40 per person, can be accomplished by clicking here. To make hotel reservations, call the Capitol Plaza at (785) 431-7200 and ask for the special $95 KLA room rate. Reservations must be made by January 27 to receive this special rate.
