For many
years steam generation has played a key role in the
world’s feed mills, where its applications include pellet
conditioning, and in feedlots, where steam is used for
flaking corn and milo.
Dramatic
advances in steam generation technology and new ways in
which it contributes to industry efficiency will be featured
at Clayton Industries’ booth during the 94th Annual KLA Convention and Trade Show,
November 30, in
Wichita.
Of
particular interest to the feed industry is Clayton’s
fast-start up and completely packaged systems, including all
peripheral equipment. Quickly installed and highly
cost-effective, the Clayton systems are often maintained
under contract by company-authorized service personnel and
treated with Clayton Chemicals.
Noted for
consistently high performance and an enviable 70-plus-year
safety record, Clayton steam generators – used by a broad
range of major industries – are available in 20 to 600 BHP
models, all distinguished by space-saving design and ease of
operation.
Cattle
producers prefer Clayton steam generators for
across-operating-range efficiency, superior flaking, reduced
blow-down, rapid response to load change, and five-minute
output from cold-start.
The
thermal efficiency of Clayton steam generators offers
dramatic fuel savings compared with firetube boilers.
The units produce consistent steam moisture content,
and are immune from the steam explosions associated with
conventional steam boilers.
Clayton
industries, founded in 1930, operates 26 sales, service and
manufacturing facilities around the globe. In addition to steam generators, the company also
produces waste heat boilers and exhaust gas boilers, a
variety of dynamometers, and both slow-and high-speed brake
testers.

The
Ernest-Spencer Companies consist of three different business
entities. All
three entities work together to provide a highly creative,
quality and economic product.
The first and oldest of the Ernest-Spencer Companies
is Ernest-Spencer Inc (ESI).
ESI designs, builds and field erects custom cattle
feed yards, batching & weighing systems, grain receiving
systems and many other components and systems used in the
agricultural industry.
The second of our family of companies is
Ernest-Spencer Metals (ESM).
ESM was originally created to build equipment for ESI
in a shop setting and then sent to the field for erection.
All though this process is still practiced today, ESM
has expanded to nearly 150,000 square feet of custom
manufacturing space servicing all major industries and
shipping throughout the world.
The final and newest company in the Ernest-Spencer
group is Ernest-Spencer Custom Coatings (ESCC).
ESCC specializes in shot blasting steel and superior
industrial paint finishes through the powder coat process.
Much of the product designed by ESI and built by ESM
is then powder coated by ESCC in order to provide a long
durable paint finish. Many
standard colors and custom colors are available.
As a whole the Ernest-Spencer Companies can provide
the customer with a turn key product or plant design with
precision and commitment to customer satisfaction.
